Sylvester Stallone is evil

Because he wants the US to invade Venezuela.  Read all about it at the Venezuelan state paper, and feel informed.  I know I do.

Like any newspaper, Venezuela's state paper has an agenda. If you were really interested in promoting critical thinking skills, though, you wouldn't just single out a state paper for having an agenda. There are all sorts of vested interests that shape the agendas of private newspapers and distort the information that we get from them.

Venezuela continues to get worse. Politically it's getting closer and closer to an outright dictatorship like Cuba. And economically it's even worse. Not a good combination.

This is what happens when extreme leftists take over. They destroy everything in sight.

Hollywood has often been
used as a source of propaganda
to influence the emotions, attitudes,
opinions and actions of its
audience. The process of demonizing
a nation or head of state
always preceeds a future act of
direct aggression.

I think La Gollinger is right. It seems like Hugo watches the X-Files a lot, because a lot of the conspiracy theories he spews about the CIA and the US Gov't often seem to come out of fantasy-land.

It is notable that Greg really wants to impune this paper, and reading the headline "Capitalism Destroying Planet" I can understand why. In Greg's world of imperial psuedo-democracy, the intellectual classes are required to mystify and down-play the villany, crimes, and the pathological nature of the wounded beast. Indeed, the US system makes Herod out of cheerleaders of genocide like Stallone and Reagan.

Gollinger, and the pro-human editorial line of this paper is diametrically opposed to the normative assumptions and blatant propaganda that folks in the US are inculcated to expect.

Saying something as indesputable as "capitalism is killing the planet" is like saying that Iraqis and Afghanis have the right to blow the heads off US troops that have invaded their countries. This is indesputable, but if you want to hold a job and not be harrassed as a US citizen, then these obvious truths it simply wouldn't be prudent to mention.

No, there is nothing in this paper that Greg can learn. One cannot learn to be an ethical, critically thinking citizen or intellectual.

Schwarzenegger breaks with GOP on health care, stimulus
http://www.mcclatchydc.com/2010/02/22/87395/start-from-scratch-on-health-care.html

Some excerpts :

WASHINGTON — While Republican leaders in Washington are urging President Barack Obama to start from scratch on a health care bill, California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger on Monday dismissed the idea as "bogus talk."

It marked the second day in a row that Schwarzenegger strayed from his party's positions.

On Sunday, he defended Obama's economic stimulus plan and chided elected officials, most of them Republicans, who oppose the overall stimulus but are quick to trumpet individual projects in their states that are paid for by the stimulus.

Standing outside the White House after meeting privately with Obama on Monday, Schwarzenegger touted the economic stimulus plan yet again.

"I think the stimulus package has been very successful so far and I think California has benefitted tremendously," he said.

Schwarzenegger also said it's good that the president is reaching out to Republicans as he prepares for this week's health care summit with congressional leaders.

Hahaha... hilarious. Though I wonder where it would not be news if Hollywood made a movie all about assassinating your President?

Well, there have been quite a few, they usually have secret service types racing to unravel some plot - sometimes even within the same government.. Or, they have Han Solo-as-President trying to avoid his would-be-killers aboard Air Force One. Or you have JFK, which is about as fictional as anything, but which many people think is based on fact.

I for one would fully support sending Sly down to Venezuela to kick some ass. Can be bring Chuck Norris and Arnold too?

Delusional leftists......it is hysterical until you think about the fact that this article was not written tongue in cheek.
