Clinton and Correa

Rafael Correa had some nice things to say to Hillary Clinton, and it seems their three hour conversation might be able to demonstrate that there is no reason the U.S. and Ecuador can't have good relations.  I would like to see the full text of Correa's comments, but am disappointed to see the State Department cannot bother hiring an interpreter.  From the State Department's website:

MODERATOR: (In Spanish.)

MODERATOR: (In Spanish.)

SECRETARY CLINTON: I will certainly take the material and thank you very much for raising these issues.
PRESIDENT CORREA: (In Spanish.)

You might be interested in Correa's remarks upon receiving an international human rights award at his (and my) Alma Matter - University of Illinois. He actually sort of disses the dependency theory and calls out Latin Americans on a lot of stuff. Here's a pretty good rundown. I can't find the original text - its on the official President's website.

That is really odd. Incidentally, though, I've heard a radio interview with him and Correa's English is not at all bad.
